New website

Yeah, as you can tell...I'm not big on blogging. I set this one up quite a while ago and haven' done anything with it. I've got a new website set up for my writing and have been doing a little bit of blogging over there. If you feel like having a look-see, come on over. You can find me at:

Feeling creative!

I was feeling creative yesterday and decided to try something a little different with two of the photos I took back in August.  I'm very pleased with how it turned out. 

 I love the colors and tones that I added to the photo of my horse, Tristan and of course, I love the night time sky!

The writing has begun!

I stayed up and did some writing after midnight to get started on NaNoWriMo.  I'm happy to say I've already got 1,757 words.  Not too bad right out of the gate.  I hope I can keep this pace up or even do better.  Time to drag myself off to bed.  Good night!  :)

NaNoWriMo!

Yes, I've done it!  I've decided to participate in National Novel Writing Month this year! 

Story outline is coming together nicely! Character back stories in place. Character names and title next! It's going to be a Paranormal Romance/Thriller. NaNoWriMo is almost here!

Hope I can complete this challenge!

*gulp*

Who would have thought that writing a short introduction and a bio about myself would give me a slight case of virtual stage fright?  Well, hopefully I won't sound like a wanker or too much of a headcase.  I freely admit that I'm a little (ok, maybe a more than just a little) quirky, but I am fine with that.

So, I'm giving myself the next few days to get this done.  I know my biggest challenge will be to keep it from being too long.  I am prone to rambling on and on...

Ok, goal set.  Time to get some shut eye, so I can get started on this tomorrow. 

To blog or not to blog... TO BLOG!

I haven't blogged in many, many moons.  However, I have too many thoughts and ideas bouncing around in my brain to try to contain them anymore. 

I'm an avid reader and consume books much like my horses eat hay... and they eat A LOT of hay!  Books are something that I have a craving for, much like some people crave chocolate or another favorite food.  Thank God there isn't a caloric intake from reading books or I would really need to go on a diet.  I'm not big on dieting, so that is a very good thing.

My camera is never far from reach and I flood my Facebook page regularly with my photos.  I've done photography since I was a teenager.  I've photographed all sorts of subjects, ranging from still life, landscape, portraits, horses, pets, rodeo events, weddings( I don't DO Bridezillas, thankyouverymuch!), wildlife and pretty much anything that caught my eye.  I was lucky enough to do some concert photography on my own of some well known bands/artists and some indie bands. 

I don't know if anyone else will find what I write about in my blog interesting, but hey... this is my blog.  What I ramble about may not be to your cup of tea, but that is ok.  The world would be a boring place if everyone liked the same things.

I sometimes have a potty mouth, but I'll try to refrain from resorting to such tactics when trying to put my thoughts into cyberspace.  Notice I said I'd try, so don't get your knickers in a bunch if I slip up a little or go on a full blown rant.
